ARISE
(Advanced Radio Interferometry Between Space and Earth)
(concept for an inflated 25-meter radio telescope in space)
ARISE (for Advanced Radio Interferometry Between Space and Earth)
was a concept for a 25-meter radio telescope in space with a
reflector that is inflated. It would offer long VLBI
baselines, as did Spektr-R for some years.
The ARISE concept was explored in the late 1990s, early 2000s.
