AREPO

(cosmology simulation using moving mesh technique)

AREPO is the cosmology simulation code used for the Illustris Project simulations. It uses a moving mesh technique. It claims to be the first code to simulate the history of the universe (or rather a significant representative portion of it) from soon after the Big Bang to the occurrence of spiral galaxies. It is also used for smaller hydrodynamics simulations.

AREPO modifications have been devised to include magnetohydrodynamics.
